1. Acceptance

These terms govern your use of Onjongil (the “App”). By using the App, you agree to these terms.

2. Service

The App lets you write and review a Korean journal, request AI-generated corrections and explanations, save learning material, and optionally link Google for backup and restoration. Some features require internet access, a Firebase session, or a Google Play purchase.

3. AI-generated feedback

AI corrections and explanations are educational aids and may be incomplete or wrong. Review important academic, professional, legal, medical, or personal communications independently and seek qualified advice when appropriate.

4. Your content

You retain your rights in journal content you create. You give the service a limited permission to process selected content only as needed to provide features you request, such as AI feedback or account-based backup.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use the App to break the law or infringe others' rights, submit illegal content, access systems without authorization, bypass limits or security controls, overload the service, impersonate others, or interfere with service operation.

6. Data and backups

Keep independent copies of journal content that is important to you. The App is local-first, and a linked account may back up entries. Reasonable safeguards are used, but data loss can still occur because of device failure, deletion, operating-system backup behavior, or network and third-party service failures.

7. Premium subscriptions

Premium purchases are processed by Google Play. Prices, renewal periods, trials, taxes, cancellation, and refunds are shown or handled through Google Play and applicable law. You can manage or cancel a subscription in Google Play. Removing the App does not automatically cancel a subscription.

8. Availability and changes

AI feedback may be subject to usage limits and external service availability. We may modify, add, limit, or discontinue features to improve quality, protect security, control costs, or meet legal requirements. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or perfect AI output.

9. Termination and deletion

You may stop using the App, delete local content, or request deletion of Onjongil account-related data. We may limit server access for abuse, fraud, security risk, or serious violation of these terms, subject to applicable law.

10. Liability

To the extent allowed by applicable law, the App is provided without a guarantee that it will fit every purpose or that AI-generated content will be accurate. We are not liable for indirect or special damages where the law permits such a limitation. Rights that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.

11. Changes and contact

We may update these terms and will update the date on this page. Continued use after an effective update constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
